Chapter Eight
Republican Economics are Reaganomics
While my GOP is often labeled as the political party of big business, my opposition to increased business taxes has nothing to do with my desire to protect corporations. Referring back to the beginning pages of this chapter, Republicans need to remind people that supply-side economic theory does work when all of its components are honored, including the most important element of reductions to wasteful spending programs. When fully implemented, history tells us that people and business will pay less taxes as a percentage of their income, and government overall will have a greater amount of revenue due to the increased economic activity, which will actually provide more funding for necessary services.
